Because of such constraints it makes both Facebook, and Twitter the very WORST places on the entire web to post content you wish to make viewable to anyone and everyone! If you wish to ONLY make your postings viewable to your friends/family Facebook is an excellent place to make such postings.

The BEST most effective way for anyone to make their important content well seen and linked back to is to first POST your content at a website which is open for viewing to ANYONE, THEN simply Send your content to Facebook, Twitter. This way your content is available for viewing at both the OPEN web, as well as in the closed facebook/twitter networks.

Since virtually ALL of the above is Syndicated, what we do is create a Special Page which contains the latest xxx number of Upcoming Events (as added by members in the calendar), xxx number of General Classifieds, Auto ads, boat ads, business ads, Realy ads, Coupon ads, and maybe some Specialty Items OR some additions from one or more of our members News Columns and add it to our weekly newsletter sends.

Our News Letters are also LINKED BACK TO at each of the above listed sites (and many others). The newsletters contain Newsletter archives as well which means that EVEN IF a person is NOT signed up to receive the latest newsletter in their email, they can still read the latest newsletter online.

We keep each newsletter online for 4 weeks which as a business person should be very interesting to YOU to know that when you add your business ad at a site above it is available in the newsletter archive for 4 weeks and available in the Business Classifieds section for 365 days!

And YES, Even the newsletter is Syndicated!

1) Posting important Community or Area events at a local Stores bulletin board is NOT effective at all in getting the word out to people outside of your immediate area interested in attending the event. It is a GOOD idea to do so but is only effective for those who visit that store and look at the bulletin board postings.

2) Putting up the same notices in your local Newspaper is a good idea but once again only those who read that paper will ever know about it and then ONLY after searching the paper for that sort of thing. Some papers do a better job of this sort of thing than others of course.

3) Putting up the event notice at Facebook, Twitter is a good idea but once again ONLY members of that service and those members Following YOUR posts will ever see the event notice, your business ads, your garage sale notices, and your items for sale are just NOT viewable to anyone NOT on your Friends list.

4) Putting up say your local Americas Bill of Rights area Event notices at Americas Bill of Rights site will be available to review at ALL of the sites in the above list. This will help increase Attendance to the event and that is what it is all about after all.

As an event coordinator or community leader wanting the Best Bang for your buck to advertise your event, you should be using ALL the methods listed above to advertise your event so that as MANY people as possible know about it and know about it in ADVANCE!

You should have it available ONLINE 1 month in advance for best results at multiple online services which allow for event postings
Post it at your local Stores which allow you to do that sort of thing
Put up Signs close to the event location a few days before the event
Post it to your Facebook/Twitter service
Have it placed at your locations Main News Paper
And be sure to include some sort of Contact Information to field Inquiries for the event and make sure that the Contact Information is VALID and WORKING!

IF you use an Email address as a contact point MAKE SURE IT WORKS and that you check it 2 times Daily or it is a useless contact point to include!

The thing is to Save yourself time, money, and get the job done RIGHT and effectively whenever you need to post content you wish to make publicly available. Facebook and Twitter are really NOT that place but should be used to make sure Those on Your Friends list have that information as your friends also have friends of their own they MAY Refer your content (Classified, Garage sale, Event Notice, etc) To if they feel it is relevant.

So, Create your content you wish to make viewable, Go to that content you just posted, and Click on the Facebook, Twitter, or other social network button along the top of the page to Send that Posting off to that service!

This way Your friends on your Facebook Friends list or followers at your Twitter account will also have that information and a LINK back to your full article, garage sale, sale item, or news column article!

It really doesn't get any easier than this to make YOUR important content well linked back to, well seen, and is simple to do for anyone!
